Because of the honors program i have to do a certain amount of community service hours. I decided to start volunteering with the refugee center here in Twin. I was assigned a Buhrmese family that arrived here about 5 months ago. They are absolutely a blast to hang out with. our first week together we went to the I.B. Perrine Bridge, even though it was freezing cold and rainy we had a ton of fun. The next week i went over and taught them how to make banana cream pie, i'm not sure if they really liked it, but it was fun. Last week shane and i went over and took them grocery shopping. We had a really really interesting trip to Winco. they bought some of the craziest stuff, like a WHOLE cat fish! After winco we went and played UNO for a really long time. it was SOOO much fun!
They have three kids, Koh Ray is my buddy! i love serving them, and i always leave with such a feeling of satisfaction.
